EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a specific treatment modality for trauma, anxiety and depression. I have been trained in and practicing EMDR since 2017 and have found it an invaluable tool in helping my clients to heal from past traumatic and emotional wounds that carry over into their present lives.
As a brain-based modality, EMDR can help you to reprocess past experiences deep within the neural network of your brain allowing for quick and lasting change. It focuses on changing core beliefs about yourself and emotions while also rewiring traumatic memories that are barriers to healthy functioning.
EMDR can be a stand-alone treatment approach or my be incorporated as part of individual psychotherapy. We will assess your need together and decide what is right for you.
